Here’s my problem - I am halfway through a roll of film in each of four cameras. I’m having difficulty finishing a roll in any one of them at a time, which is why I’ve been such a bad photoblogger lately. I’m very sorry. I’m really trying to rectify this problem, but the unusually cold weather has kept me indoors more than usual. The good news is that I’ve been inspired to work on a new project/series. That’s all I can say right now, but it is a relief to find some inspiration these days:)

Another shot from the Leica, this one with the Macro lens. I wish I had a macro lens for my Olympus! Sorry for the lack of posts. It’s been too cold to go outside and shoot! I have been shooting some, but not enough to finish a roll. That’s the problem with film:) Mostly, though, I’ve just been preoccupied.

Here’s one from that Leica R4. I got about 8 shots out of a roll. Some were blank because the shutter is sticky, and some because the battery was dead. I’m going to play with it some more because I think it may just stick in damp weather. I’m not doing much shooting at all lately because life comes first. Looks like we’re in for bad weather all weekend, so I’m not sure I’ll get to do much then, either, but we’ll see. I’ve been wanting to photograph the kids more, so maybe I’ll see if I can set up some indoor shots.

I find myself wanting very badly to revive my old Hercules blog. I have this overwhelming compulsion to put my parenting strife into words again, and this is not the place for it. But I shouldn’t give anyone false hopes. Because the thing about raising Rio is that it’s an incredibly demanding, time-consuming job. And he needs me more than ever right now. Don’t worry, we’re pulling through. It’s just . . . damn . . . I never knew a kid could be so hard while he’s still so young. Sorry for the random personal rant, but I’m a bit consumed by all of it these days.
