Good news: I’ll be moving to a new server soon. The site has been awfully slow lately and it’s time for a new host. I’m still narrowing my search at this point. Choosing a web host is scary. There’s too damn many of them. More good news: I have a new toy! My Mom presented me with an early birthday present: A Mamiya MSX 1000 she found at a yard sale. It needs a battery cover and a lens cap, though. I ordered the parts but they’re apparently back-ordered and it may be a while before I get to play with this new toy, but I’m looking forward to it. It’s my first real SLR, and it came with a small telephoto lens, too, which is also a first. I can’t wait to play with it! Stay tuned. I’ll keep you posted on both of these developments and they unfold.

I’m waiting on some film to be developed. There won’t be too much to share from my trip to KS, mostly family shapshots and the like. I took a bunch of family portraits with the Holga and I hope they turn out well. I also experimented with some multiple exposures with the Holga, and I’m especially curious to see how those turn out.

Last of the breakdancing shots from Twilight Fest. I’m going to be out of town until Tuesday, but I’ll have some photos cued up to keep things interesting around here in the meanwhile. Let’s hope I come back with some good shots!

I really would have liked to have been able to keep the top of that tree behind the building out of the frame, but it was not possible in spite of all my contortions. I got down on the sidewalk to take this shot to at least minimize the intrusion of that conehead-tree. I’m normally quite fond of trees, but this one was poorly placed. Anyway, I really love this shot otherwise:)

If you followed me here from my old site, you might remember this photo. That was taken just over a year ago, and you can see how much Rio has grown in the last year. Amazing.
