Darius
February 24th, 2006Darius and his brother live a couple of houses down from us. He’s my favorite of all the neighborhood kids. He writes me love notes and makes me hand-made valentines. He’s a real ladies’ man:) I hope you like this photo, because I won’t be updating for a week or so. I’m going to be in St. Charles on business all next week and I don’t have a laptop. But have no fear, I’ll be shooting lots of film (finally) and probably digital, too. I plan to shoot a lot, regardless. I’m looking forward to spending some time with my new camera. See you in a week!

February 19th, 2006Friday night out with the boys. My new camera came this weekend! Weeeeeeeee! If only I had money for film. That’s why you’re seeing a lot of digital photos lately. All in good time . . .

February 7th, 2006Scanned my negatives tonight for the 120 Challenge and I’m pretty pleased with results overall. Almost all of them are in focus! Now I just have to learn to adjust my compositions for parallax error. I’ll post a few more from this roll over the next week. Basically I took one photo of each my stepkids, Rio, my husband, and the neigbor kids. The best ones were shot with the sun behind the clouds. When the sun came out it was right in everyone’s eyes. Trying to get the kids to wait for a cloud was like getting a puppy to use the toilet. Not happening.

February 6th, 2006I’m not particularly happy with this photo, but I’m at work so I don’t have access to my photos, including the one I intended to post, but oh well. I grabbed this one from my flickr photostream. I pick up my negs tonight, the roll I shot for the 120 Challenge, but I have class tonight too so I probably won’t be able to scan them in until Tuesday night. I really hope they turn out decent.

February 2nd, 2006One from the archives. I haven’t been able to shoot much of anything lately. I have one roll of film for my Holga that I’m saving for this weekend’s 120 challenge. I had to mail order a bunch of film, since they don’t stock much 120 at the local camera shop. It should be here next week. Meanwhile, I hope I can get some decent shots for the challenge this weekend. Wish me luck:)
